Ouch~ As I've mentioned to some of my friends, . . I am finally attending (again) taekwondo classes. It's been uh, . 5 years I think since I was promoted as a Yellow belter~ DAMN~ I'm stuck with that lame belt with this age? (see description at the left) Well, was it really my fault? I wanted to pursue my lessons way back 5 years ago but my parents won't allow me. Why? Here are some of their "LAME" reasons,
1. I'm a girl (WTF)
2. My (only) brother should be the one to pursue the ranks up to the black belter, not me.
3. It's enough that I know self defense. I don't have to fight like the guys.
4. I'm a GIRL~~
W. T. FDon't you just get it? those reasons,... It's killing me, . .
but hey, NOW ~ I know why I hate being a girl. NOW~ I know why I am so jealous of guys~ Their state /stature makes me feel good, but my state makes me feel oppressed. ~ NOW~ I know.
On the other hand, I like girls (a lot) and I barely notice guys.
Got my point?

As I was saying, I am currently attending taekwondo classes during mondays, wednesdays and saturdays at 10 AM- 12PM. I am with my siblings Camille & Vince. Unlike our previous gym (would you call that gym) that is located at the lower ground floor in Karrivin Plaza, Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati City, we now attend our classes at Merville Park (Belvedere) Gym. It's an indoor court. No puzzle mats, No mirrors, No Korean flag, No aircon, No Monsour del Rosario. It's not the OTTC (Olympians Taekwondo Training Center).
FEEL THE PAIN, . .
Yeah, . the pain plus the scourging heat this summer? haha what do you get?

Should I elaborate on the "pain"?
1. I'm a bit old, yeah I know. So, gaining the right flexibility is hard. 30 counts of split, then 30 counts of side split to the left , then 30 counts of side split to the right just kills me slowly. So to my dear classmates, . .DON'T CHEAT! DON'T YOU DARE BEND YOUR KNEES! dinadamay niyo ako eh! Uulit nanaman ang bilang! Grrrr
2. "No puzzle mats." Malamang sa sahig yan diba? I thought those mats were only placed there so that in case of unexpected falls, fewer injuries would occur. Oh well, that was what I THOUGHT. What do you call those patches? Tsk. blisters? My mom said it's called "paltos." Pero hindi naman namin sinusunog ang talampakan namin?! So there, a few kicking exercises will make your feet warm then VOILA! paltos~ then if you are a bit unfortunate (like my sister) err, . . just shed off some skin. tugsh~
3. Kicking right is far different from just kicking. Less force, more Power. Of course, Kicking right that wouldn't cause your feet injuries. It is said that when you hurt somebody, you hurt yourself as well. TKD teaches the right way to kick, . . without hurting yourself, . . .. . . . oh, . . well, .. that was SUPPOSED to be, . . You can't control every kick, esp if you are tired (alibis) . Sa tagalog, pag pagod na, mali-mali na ang sipa, hindi na masasaktan ang kalaban, ikaw na ang mababalian. *BOW*
4. Sparring, . . Patigasan ng katawan dito. tsk. Kahit pa may armor ka, . . . mararamdaman mo pa rin talaga yung sakit. Yung mga bata umiyak daw nung 1st time nila mg-spar, .. at hanggang ngayon, may mga umiiyak pa rin. 1st sparrign ko, .. yung head coach pa ang kalaban (coach Manel) waw, . . isang beses lang ako nakatama, isang beses lang din nakailag! 3 consecutive turning side kicks solid na tinamaan ako di man lang ako naka-counter, .. dagdag pa natin yung solid na sipa sa braso (walang armor dito) ramdam mo yung sakit pero alam mo controlled pa rin yung force, . haay~ 2nd spar ko kalaban si camille~ ayos na sana, . pero nabalatan yung paa niya dahil sa paltos kaya yung isang coach na lang nakalaban ko, . . di kami magkatamaan, . ayun, . . sa lower limbs tuloy ang tama, . . ang laki nanaman ng pasa ko, .. haha
5. Basta mahirap ang Warm-up, . .lalo na sa mga di masyadong flexible,.. hay nako.
Sana ma-promote na ako~ tsk, . .
kelan kaya ako mkakapag-split, . .???
oo nga pala, . .favorite kick ko round house, . . unang turo kasi saken ng coach tama na agad, .. fate? haha

Nga pala, bakit kami lagi partner ni camille? ayaw kami i-partner doon sa mahihinhing babae na kaklase namin, . . wahehe

oh wait, . .I can't hit a girl?! I love girls,. . MWAHAHAHA
sa kahit sino, . paturo naman sumipa, . .paturo na rin sa sparring,. .
