Contradictory is different from Contrary.


examples:

the adjective: beautiful.
contradictory: not beautiful
contrary: ugly


sentences:

statement: She is beautiful.
contradictory statement: She is not beautiful.
contrary statement: She is ugly.


word explanation: When you are contradicting a statement, you are not in favor of what is stated but It doesn't mean that you mean something that is directly opposite the statement.

further explanation: When you said that "She is beautiful," & then somebody told you that "She is not beautiful," He doesn't mean that "She is ugly," because not all persons who are not beautiful are ugly.

A person who is not beautiful may be referred to as a person that has looks which is not startling, stunning or eye catching. They may look good in a way but not too impressive to a certain person. "not beautiful" is equal to "not so beautiful" and "not beautiful" is not equal to "ugly"

blah blah update,..

1. pass all of my subjects through God's Grace,.. T__T

I didn't pass all,.. in fact I withdrew Math of Investment & failed my MAJOR -> Accounting.
any grade lower than 2 (1 is the highest) esp. in Accounting, Math & English are considered low or simply "YOU FAIL!" the standards of the College. I got 2.5 in Speech (English) , 3 in Economics, 2.5 in Business Finance, 2.5 in Biological Science, 1.25 in Badminton (PE) , 2 in Logic.

~ not bad for a student who doesn't study at all & who is always late in class? I was expecting to get 5 in most of the subjects,.. blah blah



2. Claim my price in the raffle,.. the cellphone and the cash prize will do.

I didn't win but I didn't lose,.. haha I still have my cellphone w/ me,. I still have cash,.. :P



3. finish our dear project in Eco.

We passed the project 2 weeks later than the submission. And we were able to make it in just 1 day.



4. a Good score in all my finals

Hmm,.. I didn't get a good score in all my finals,. but I still got 95% in Logic.



5. memorize & deliver a sonnet impressively on our next Speech /English Class.

I posted my speech here as an entry. You'd be the judge. I 'm afraid that our prof. wasn't able to listen to m when I said the last line. She has no reaction whatsoever. I think I got a good grade nonetheless. Unfortunately, my record with our previous prof wasn't good,. so,.. 4.0 +1 = 5 / 2 =2.5 (this is so true )



6. pilot Diwata with all her strength from me,. aww i do love her,.. :(

kuya Gin let me change her password from toothblue to LYRAmganda,.. --> yikes!!! I only saw her once with that password. Then it was changed again,.. but still bears my name. :wub: I felt her strength only once too,.. gaaah,.. I haven't attended any sieges,..



7. buy / have my own personal BIBLE,..

I wasn't able to buy one,.. I wanted the KJV (King James Version) Unfortunately, in the Catholic Store I went,..they do not consider KJV as a Catholic Bible?!! *confused* somebody suggested that I may buy NIV (New International Version) but there is a certain urge that I wanted KJV. I don't know why. Certain things I look for a Bible,.. Small, water-proof cover, easy handling, black bound, light weight, would fit in a small bag/pouch, contains both The New & Old Testament, KJV, won't be noticed as a Bible at 1st glance, unusually cool, and personalized. :lol:

~ nyahaha I'm still searching for it. In the mean time, I will still use my mom's Bible.



8. BUY that silver rosary bracelet in SilverWorks

I saw that same theme/design but, with smaller silver beads. :( Other Silver Works branches doesn't have that design. I found it only in Isetann in Recto. I have to go back there. cost= P370 only,..waaaaaaa



9. buy a gift for Mae's birthday

10. lose some baby fats and trim down or maybe just have a good body built,..haha

Nyay! I think I just lost a couple of pounds,.. My tummy shapes a little,.. /swt (ano daw?!) Body built? haha Good thing I have Basketball as my PE this sem,. :) err,.. I'm afraid of Balls,.. waaaaaa I had Table Tennis & Badminton as my PE in the previous sems. ~ i wasn't impressive way back then. I hated balls hitting my face.



11. Learn to play DOTA and MU

I learned to play MU. *slight* I just know the basics,. You won't consider me as "One of the OGs" yet. DOTA? not yet. target time of learning: 2nd week of classes. ;)

Gee,.. I just have a couple of P50 load in my main account, P50 + P20 load in Camille's account, & P20 expired load in Rei's account. I didn't bot for a couple of months now. But,.. We played in Thor server for quite some time,..haha I'm now a promising Swordsman aiming to be a Lord Knight & my sister is a cute Acolyte, excited to be a FS Priestess. Let's go Thor server!!! ~No BOTS!~ haha special mention: kuya Francis is now a wiz. GAAAAAAHHHHH

yikes! who am I to judge? haha It would simply say: Good blog Entries = Good thoughts from the author. *drops dead*

So far,.. so good,.. W:FSP is near the end. Sudenlly, my favorite fic's authors stopped updating?!!! omg,. New good fics were added recently,. I still wanted them to finish their fic, and, hopefully, the new ones would be finished too. *high hopes for me*



15. Improve my English

omg,.. after reading the latest fic of Sir Redkinoko & Madame Karasawa Rui, I think my vocabulary is far from theirs,.. :( although I gained a few words in my vocabulary,.. **more high hopes for me**



16. Finish reading those books in those shelves,..

WAWAWA I haven't touch those books,.. awww,.. but I'm about to finish Camille's book,.. "Without Seeing The Dawn" by Stevan Javellana



17. Attend the mass in Baclaran Church ALL BY MYSELF

Hindi pa ako nakakapagmisa ng mag-isa,..weenk,.. I don't know the schedule. Pero,.. marunong na akong pumunta mag-isa!!!!!!BWAHAHAHAHA

Lesson: Pag hindi kumaliwa yung bus sa may Hotel (nakalimutan ko ung name) bumaba ka na at sumakay na ng ibang bus o jeep na dadaan sa Baclaran,.. dahil kung hindi, idederetso niya iyon papuntang ,.. ewan?!!! iba't ibang malls,... whatever,.. tapos sa may airport,.. sa may schools?! blah blah,.. at iikot pa,.. hanggang sa ibabaligtad na yung sign card sa harap,.. at hayun! nasa Baclaran ka na daw,.. pero lalakarin mo pa rin,.. /pif
